That may be just a turn of phrase, but it’s still a false analogy. Humor certainly doesn’t have to be sophisticated. Simplicity is not inherently insulting to our intelligence; however, racism - and unoriginality, for that matter - is.
I’ve gone back and forth on Dunham…at first I liked his stuff but I felt like Achmed went a little too far. Imagine if an Islamic ventriloquist had Joe the beheaded American infidel?
